Does it work without a subscription? Yes. You will always have access to the 1080p HD live stream, sound and motion alerts, two-way audio, and Care Logs without a subscription. Advanced features, including personalized sleep insights, video history, and milestone video captures, require a subscription. A 3-month free trial of the Sleep Insights Plan is included with purchase and can be canceled at any time before auto-renewal. Can I turn off the display screen at night? Absolutely. The 8" Home Display features Auto-Dim Mode and a Background Audio setting. This allows you to keep the screen dark while still hearing every sound from the nursery, while also extending battery life for overnight use. Can I still hear my baby without having the app open? Yes. The app includes a Background Audio setting that allows audio to continue playing even when your phone screen is off. By default, this feature is turned off. When you're ready to listen in, simply tap the microphone icon and choose from three settings: Background Audio On, Audio On, or Audio Muted. What age range is this most suitable for? The Home System is designed for children ages 0–4 years.
